Extreme cold is becoming the new normal around the world with multiple snowfall records being broken each winter amid extremely frigid temperatures. This phenomena is already causing significant worldwide impact on crops, basic infrastructure and daily life.
Most of the US continued to experience one of the worst winters in its history this year. As temperatures got a little less cold, snow and ice melt has been causing destructive ice-laden flooding in the Mid and Northwest.
Meanwhile China, Japan, Taiwan and Japan also saw record snowfalls and freezing temperatures, and extreme cold was also present in unusual places like Morocco, Tanzania, Turkey, Irán, Israel and Saudi Arabia. And of course, Europe got its fair share as usual.
This month, hurricane like winds wreaked havoc in Europe, the US, Asia and Latin America, and in some cases was accompanied by unprecedented tornadoes.
The Ring on Fire showed increased activity, with volcanoes erupting around the globe along with several earthquakes of significant magnitude. Some researchers link these phenomena to the increased incidence of cosmic rays.
So get your big coats on folks, because with the sun’s minimum in its 11 year cycle just around the corner, we may soon have to confront the beginning of a new mini (or ‘maxi’) ice age.

Tyler from Secure Team, presents a credible argument that perhaps something is coming our way. Something big, biblical.
Are the end times upon us or we just know faster what is going on in the world because of our new technology? We are all getting connected through the internet and we know what is going on on the other side of the world instantly. Perhaps this new technology IS biblical. I am sure glad to have seen it happen. In the old days, 30 years ago, we had TV with a few channels chosen for us by the elites, those who know better. Look at us today.
The new research, led by French scientist Albert Jambon and published in the Journal of Archaeological Science, used geochemical analyses to differentiate Earthly and extraterrestrial metals found in a range of Bronze Age artefacts from across the world. By studying the ratios of iron, cobalt and nickel found within the artefacts, researchers created a system to differentiate iron produced through smelting of ore, and ‘pre-made’ iron of meteoric origin.
For context, meteorites were already recognized as a major source of iron, but the scientific community was still on the fence as to the extent to which meteoric iron contributed to Bronze Age iron artefact construction. Iron weapons crafted during the Bronze Age were extremely rare and prized possessions (kind of like Valyrian steel in the Game of Thrones).
The Iron Age began around 1200 BCE while The Bronze Age played out 2,000 years prior, so anyone who boasted iron weapons or jewelry had a significant military or economic advantage over their contemporaries.
Jambon performed non-destructive chemical analyses of samples using a portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer in situ in the museums where the Bronze Age artefacts are currently stored. The objects studied include: “beads from Gerzeh (Egypt, −3200 BCE); a dagger from Alaca Höyük (Turkey, −2500 BCE); a pendant from Umm el-Marra (Syria, −2300 BCE); an axe from Ugarit (Syria, −1400 BCE) and several others from the Shang dynasty civilization (China, −1400 BCE); and even the dagger, bracelet, and headrest of Tutankhamun (Egypt, −1350 BCE).”
Terrestrial iron ore must be reduced, removing the oxygen contained within, before it can be crafted into weapons and other objects. But the meteoric iron was already in a metallic state, and was thus ready for use, without the need for any anachronistic innovations such as smelting, which marked the beginning of the Iron Age.
Celestial bodies like meteorites, asteroids and comets are created when planets shatter and break up. “When large celestial bodies like our planet are forming, nearly all nickel drifts towards the molten iron core,” write the study’s authors, indicating that mining techniques common during the Bronze Age would not have gone down far enough to extract significant quantities of nickel or iron.
Planetary environmental chaos continued unabated this April.
After Peru was inundated in March, Columbia was next in line for massive rainfall and flooding which provoked deadly landslides in the city of Mocoa. Major flooding and landslides also hit India, Indonesia, the USA and China, while
Wildfires once again struck the US state of Florida while very late snow saw many European nations blanketed, with many crops destroyed.
Meteor/fireballs were also spotted from one end of the planet to the other and a comet made a special appearance.

SOTT ‘Earth Changes’ video summary for December 2016: extreme weather events, environmental indicators of ‘planetary upheaval’ (seismic, volcanic, etc) and Near-Earth Objects in the form of meteor fireballs.
As we enter a new and uncertain geopolitical climate with the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, so we also appear to be entering a new and uncertain natural climate.
The relentless global escalation of extreme weather, geological upheaval, and cosmic bombardment continued last month, ending a year the authorities claim was (again) “the warmest ever – and it’s humans’ fault.”
Still no explanation from them as to how ‘man-made CO2’ is responsible for – among other new or increased natural phenomena – all the sinkholes opening up and killing people; the meteor fireballs raining out of the sky; redirecting the course of high-altitude jet streams; and increasing the frequency of earthquakes two or three-fold.
But pay no attention to those details – they’re probably just signs that we’re heading into another ice age.
Highlights in this Earth Changes Summary video for December 2016 include:
Persistent, heavy fog across the world last month – northern Europe, India, China and the Persian Gulf
Return of the ‘polar vortex’ to both North America and Russia, bringing record-breaking snow and cold temperatures
Snow in the Sahara Desert, Arabian Desert, and Syria
Thundersnow, snow-nadoes, ‘fog walls’, ‘fog domes’, ‘spinning ice disks’, and other bizarre cold weather-related phenomena!
Severe flash-flooding (and a tornado) across southern ‘sunny’ Spain
Outbreak of forest fires in the Swiss Alps… in winter!?
At least a half dozen spectacular meteor fireball events in North and South America, Europe, and Central Asia
A string of powerful earthquakes and volcanic eruptions around the Pacific Ring of Fire
Widespread flooding in Southeast Asia during its ‘dry season’
Record-breaking rainfall in Australia’s desert regions
