The planetary ecology is not conducive to supporting massive cities with rising populations that were designed with unlimited natural and labour resources available, nature and the expanding poor populations being the “slave pool” that would ever and anon supply the needs and greeds of the city’s ever more demanding elitist apparatus. Here, there, wherever, the backlash must happen. How people (rich or poor) can continue believing a closed environment can support limitless expansion is beyond me. Is ignorance and stupidity going to be the crowning and final achievement of the Earthian human race?
