The attacks by Darkness are increasing at this time as It becomes more and more desperate. These are dangerous times.
Humans need to be cautious, yet not fearful of the evil aliens. Anunnaki aliens have no power over True-Light beings who still remember their Creator and have retained their Will.
The ruling elite have stepped up their hacking efforts since I wrote On the Brink of Anunnaki New World Order. They have also had many meetings and discussions about the article and the contents of the websites.
The ruling elite are very worried. They realize that they have no secrets from the Light and that their time is short.
As I stated in On the Brink of Anunnaki New World Order, sections of the New England Highway are being severely targeted with alien beams.
In less than one week, Steffan and I observed two accidents on a particular stretch of straight road of that highway. Both accidents involved semi-truck and trailers. Both happened during clear nights when the road was deserted and dry.
The first incident happened when, for no apparent reason, a semi-truck and trailer jack-knifed and came to rest across the entire highway. I sensed something was wrong and had Steffan slow down just before we encountered the jack-knifing truck.
We were able to safely stop and put on our four-way flashers. The truck driver was unhurt and was able to pull his vehicle off the road before any impacts occurred. Had I not sensed the danger on the road, we would have been traveling too fast to have avoided impact with the jack-knifed truck and trailer.
Less than a week later, something happened on the same stretch of road. At about 4.00 am, our dogs began barking and alerted us that something was amiss. We went out and observed a large, silent, stationary light in the sky.
As we watched, the object emitted a beam that struck a huge semi-truck and double trailer that was traveling northbound on the New England Highway.
After the truck was hit by the beam, it veered off the road, struck an electric pole, and rolled over. The truck made a deafening crash as it rolled over. The object in the sky vanished.
The truck driver was unhurt. Except for us, there were no witnesses to the accident. Investigators are baffled and have stated, “at this stage we have no reason to believe fatigue was a factor” and they have ruled out other easily explainable causes for the accident.
It is a case of a truck being driven by an experienced driver rolling over on a dry, straight stretch of road for no apparent reason.
We realize that it would be pointless to give our account because the authorities are programmed to ridicule sightings of unidentified flying objects, especially those emitting beams directed at vehicles.
This stretch of road on the New England Highway has been targeted for certain purposes. It would appear that the ruling elite want the speed limit reduced on this stretch of road from 100 km/h to 80 km/h so they can more effectively programme motorists on it.
The physical accidents will give the authorities the physical reasons necessary to reduce the speed limit. From many instances and other investigations, I have noticed a recent increase in the use of the number “8” in a very different way by the ruling elite.
The ruling elite want an “8” at this point of the highway, and placing an 80 km/h speed limit sign will suit their purposes. The 80 km/h speed signs are now sprouting up in many places for more reasons than to slow down the traffic!
The new use of the figure “8” indicates the pending implementation of the next stage of events in the ruling elites’ scheme. The ruling elite is artificially embedding new numerological properties into the number “8”. These properties are detrimental to humans but beneficial to the Anunnaki slave masters.
However, the planned impact of these properties have been counter-acted by the Light even though there will still be residual negative impact that will affect all things in the Virtual Reality.
The stretch of road I mentioned above is being bombarded so heavily now that it is difficult to drive through safely for those who are sensitive enough to notice the effects of this type of programming.
Most motorists can travel through it because they are so distracted by various events that they aimlessly plough through the dangerous patch without realizing that they are being affected.
However, some drivers are more susceptible to the programming, and if the bombardment continues, more accidents will occur on this stretch of road. At this time, commercial truck drivers are being specifically targeted with additional weapons to ensure some mishaps will occur on the road.
Trucks, like many motor vehicles, run on wheels. The invention of the wheel is often thought of as the single most important development in the history of humankind. Many have speculated as to where the first wheel originated.
Asia is thought by many to have been the “cradle” of the wheel, where it was developed from round logs. There is ample evidence that wheels existed in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Sumer is another civilization given credit for developing the wheel.
However, the wheels were NOT the main technology for moving heavy objects in either Atlantis, Lumeria or other “lost” civilizations, such as: Ackqooa and Laktosez.
The more distant or ancient civilizations primarily used the technology of anti-gravity devices to move heavy objects from place to place. This is because most of the labour performed in those cultures was done by Anunnaki slaves.
It was only much later that human slaves were employed in large numbers that the wheel was devised to force them to work much harder to achieve results. The wheel was also used to break their slaves’ spirit.
Most inventions in human history are not of human origin at all. These inventions have been produced at the prodding and insistence of the ruling Anunnaki on the planet and in the astral for purposes that suit the Anunnaki plans. Technology has been doled out by the Anunnaki for very specific purposes.
For example, outwardly, the industrial revolution appeared to be a sign of human progress and technological advancements. Few suspect that it was planned and staged to set up an eventual complete takeover by the Anunnaki and the full implementation of their New World Order.
Technological advancements are controlled by the Anunnaki, except for the instances when the Amoebas bring improvements to the planet. Technological advancements sponsored by Darkness are designed to give the least possible benefit to humans while providing the Anunnaki masters with the most benefit.
The wheel was forced upon humans to extract the maximum possible efforts for as small a benefit as feasible. Moving things by employing wheels is a very inefficient method. Waste is ingrained into Anunnaki slave and penal camps.
The entire Virtual Reality was designed by the demiurges to thrive upon waste. Since the Anunnaki are chief agents of Darkness, they have modeled their colonies to likewise thrive upon waste.
In order to achieve maximum enslavement while simultaneously demonstrating some production, the Anunnaki forced humans to labour under the primary technology of the wheel. Wheels cause motion without much purpose. Much more energy is put into wheel-driven engines than can be extracted from them.
The planets move in circular or elliptical motions. On a smaller scale, atomic particles move in similar patterns. These motions are devised to hold together the illusions of the Virtual Reality, many of which appear quite concrete and physical.
Wheel or circular motion is basically motion without purpose, with an object going over and over the same territory without making progress. While wheels can be used to produce physical results, albeit very wastefully, wheels also mask the spiritual abyss into which they are plunging humans and other beings.
As I have said before, there is no motion in the True Divine Realm. Motion is an invention of Darkness to help achieve Its purpose of enslavement of True-Light beings as well as False-Light beings. Motion wastes a huge amount of energy, but motion helps to maintain the illusion of the Virtual Reality.
Since motion is extremely wasteful of energy, Darkness must constantly feed Its world with energy to keep the illusion afloat. Up until now, Darkness has stolen this energy from True-Light beings.
However, the Rescue Mission is so far along, and so many True-Light beings have been retrieved from the Virtual Reality, that energy is getting very scarce.
Darkness is getting more and more desperate and has been forced to use Its reserves of stolen energy to keep Its putrid illusion going longer in the hopes of finding a solution before the illusion collapses.
As Darkness drains Its reserves, the illusion of Its Virtual Reality will falter more and more. Since all motion is wasteful and motion is necessary to maintain the illusion, the reserves will soon be exhausted.
When Darkness runs out of Its energy reserves, motion will stop, much like a car will stop when it runs out of petrol.
When motion ceases, the illusions created by motion will simply vanish, and that will be the end of Darkness’ Virtual Reality. That day is rapidly approaching.
It is important not to get caught up in the frictional energy that builds and builds inside, which I have identified as the “Whoak-ka” energy.
This is one of the most effective weapons used by Darkness to eventually cause severe emotional blockages that ultimately make one very susceptible to destructive energy attacks that can cause short-term or long-term problems to the victims. Self-control is important.
Often, Darkness succeeds in Its attacks because the victims choose to satisfy their egos instead of remedying the situations wisely. From apparently trivial situations such as bickering, annoyances and niggling events, the “Whoak-ka” energy can slip in, and, if unchecked quickly, can put its victims through very serious emotional/mental crises.
Keep your focus on the Light, even when things get you down. The True Light will never let you down.

I’ve long been fascinated by Egypt as a possible connection to ancient wisdom and have written about how I see its art as a portal to a connection to consciousness.
Researchers like Graham Hancock have influenced by sense of these connections and point to the possibility of a source “super” civilization that may have had some of its knowledge recorded metaphorically or artistically in places like Central America, Mexico, Peru, India, China, as well as in Egypt.
Graham asserts that “stuff keeps getting older” and makes a strong case for a cataclysmic event that wiped out such a civilization with a comet impact about 12,000 years ago, approximately the time Plato attributed to the decline of Atlantis, which may be much more than a mere myth.
These theories are beautifully and graphically explored in the web series Magical Egypt.
The latest segment proposes that the two “polarities” of Consciousness seem to arise from (or reference) the two hemispheres of the brain.
These are the “dualities” of energetic complementarians — Yin/ Yang, Plus/ Minus, Male/ Female, Hot/ Cold, Night/ Day, Sun/ Moon and so on.
Written In Stone: Decoding The Secret Masonic Religion Hidden In Gothic Cathedrals And World Architecture gives the best account available in print about how religion began and how struggles over the meaning of spirituality shaped the world we live in today.
What struck me deeply — besides the wonderful comparisons of ancient structures from all of these locales and their overlapping, identical motifs, was his focus on the “Godself image.”
This ubiquitous image displays the complementary forces in either hand of a deity, mythical creature, or actual spirit animal with emphasis on the head or disc at the top of the torso.
According to Cassaro this disc is a Third Force — a reconciling or “vertical” dimension that rules over the conflicting forces and presumably “intelligently” creates the result for the potentiality of energies within the expression of THE PRESENT MOMENT.
Cassaro asserts that like modern thinkers such as Eckhart Tolle, ancients believed that time and space are mental projections affected by the sensory limitations of sentient creatures.
The sole connection to a higher dimension that affects us sporadically according to our consciousness and level of being is literally “time-less” — and is experienced only in our lifetimes within moments of complete clarity.
These beliefs can be traced back to Gnosticism and the actual parables of Jesus and again, a “lost Christian” tradition that sought transcendence of the mental realms to connect with a reality beyond thought.
Gurdjieff and his student Ouspensky, author of the classic In Search of the Miraculous, brought a teaching that he hinted came from “Pre-Sand” Egypt — a time which geologists like Robert Schoch have recently identified as more temperate and accounting for the striations at the bases of the Sphinx that were caused by water erosion (hard to imagine in today’s Sahara but possible before the great flood or other cataclysm that might have wiped out a “super civilization” or source culture).
Gurdjieff also asserted a sacred Law of the Threes — three basic forces of Nature that shape our reality — the forces were also:
Affirming – Denying – Reconciling
Gurdjieff had a prayer for these “holy” forces in his own work, Beelzebub’s Tales for his Grandson.
Transsubstantiate within me for my being.”
In the summary of Gurdjieff’s work linked above, philosopher Jacob Needleman also describes, “the idea of the three centers in man is one of the most central ideas in the whole of the Gurdjieffian system.
Man’s confusion, his lack of unity, his unnecessary suffering, his immorality — in fact everything that characterizes the sorrow of the human condition — come about because these centers of perception are wrongly related, wrongly functioning, and because man does not see or care to know this about himself.”
These three centers relate to the three forces obviously, but again what is striking is that the reconciling force does not “act” in the present moment, but actually, somehow, beyond our normal comprehension literally IS the present moment.
This interpretation seems to be shared by the Gurdjieff teaching, Cassaro’s interpretation of the GodSelf imagery, and the artistic deconstruction done by the producers and other contributors to the Magical Egypt series — which is a study of an ancient science of Consciousness.
It is also known that before bringing his teaching back to Russia, Gurdjieff spent many years in Egypt working as a tour guide at Giza and apparently studying the ancient monuments and texts.
I believe that this also relates to some of my own work because I am so interested in the confluence of DNA code and computer software.
As I have noted here and in my recent book, the notion that there can be code, that can be edited, without Mind as its progenitor is contrary to all actual experience and empirical evidence.
Every other program that we know of is mind-based, as are we.
The key point here is that Mind is not “resident” only in the human brain. It may well be a natural force of nature and indeed the Reconciling or Third force known to the ancients.
Just as some cultures have numerous words for “love” or even “snow” depending upon their beliefs and connection to physical reality, so too may we need to broaden our concept of Mind to accommodate different “frequencies” — some of which may occur in nature beyond our current level of understanding.
For example, the Egyptian “deities” which we consider primitive were actual representatives of the various “intelligences” of Nature worshiped by Egyptians as part of Maat — the Natural Order — such as the floods that irrigated crops, wind, sandstorms, Sun and Moon and their radiant energy, and so on.
I also cover this in my book, If DNA Is Software, Who Wrote the Code?, which is now available on Amazon.

Did you know that there was a shocking study published in the Public Library of Science Journal, that found “up to 72%” of scientists admitted their colleagues were engaged in “questionable research practices,” and that just over 14% of them were engaged in outright “falsification”?
If that’s not bad enough, between 1977 and 1990 the FDA found scientific flaws in 10–20% of all the studies they audited.
But it gets even worse; scientists at the Thousand Oaks biotech firm Amgen, set out to double-check the results of 53 landmark published studies in their fields of cancer research and blood biology.
What they found was shocking; only 6 of the 53 studies could be proven valid. That means almost 90% were flawed, yet passed off to the public as fact.
In other words, there’s a lot of scientific bullshit floating around my friends.
This becomes especially concerning when we consider how “science” seems to have replaced organized religion as the new authority that should blindly be obeyed in many ways.
People speak of it as if it is infallible, and anyone who questions the high priests of science are generally attacked, degraded, and dismissed as modern day heretics.
But science, just like any religion, is not a god that only speaks unadulterated Truth.
It is far from being infallible and is constantly in need of being updated, upgraded, challenged, revised, and changed, for the simple fact that science is subject to the narrow confines of mankind’s tiny flawed human perception; which is forever growing and expanding — and easily skewed by things like prejudice, pride, and corruption.
In and of itself, science is obviously inanimate and can do neither good nor bad because it has no mind of its own.
It is not a person, so we need to stop talking about science like it is a super hero. It is simply a vehicle that requires a driver, and the destination obviously differs from one driver to the next.
While some may have the earnest pursuit of objective Truth in mind, most can be corrupted by the pursuit of money (such as Iowa State University professor Dong-Pyou Han who is now sitting in jail for his AIDS vaccine fraud), the want of fame, or simply personal prejudice and egotistical pride.
And to help remind people why they should not blindly trust “science” — or any other body of purported knowledge for that matter — I decided to write this short article on how scientific bullshit has been used throughout history to manipulate our perceptions and beliefs.
Big Tobacco & The Sugar Industry
More than half a century ago, big tobacco used science as a weapon to convince the naive and gullible about the safety of their cigarettes.
Notice the key phrase, “Scientific Evidence”/Image credit: Adpast.com
A number of different medical organizations and journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), were indeed on the payroll of Big Tobacco and helped to promote their agenda through the promotion of flawed “science”.

Notice the key persuading phrase in the above advertisement; “…the final results, published in authoritative medical journals, proved conclusively that when smokers changed to Philip Morris, every case of irritation cleared completely or definitely improved.”
Similarly, the sugar industry hired a group of Harvard scientists to hide the link between sugar and heart disease in the 1960s, and the International Sugar Research Foundation (ISRF) suppressed a study that showed sugar could potentially increase the risk of bladder cancer.
This is something we all need to understand my friends; our global society is run as a business, not as a non profit organization that values human life.
And this means that any line of profession can easily be corrupted by money. Unfortunately our problems are systemic and have their roots in this painfully flawed paradigm.
The Manipulation Of Science Still Continues Today
In more recent history, the Bush Administration got caught manipulating science to conform to their agenda. Big oil has likewise bribed scientists to parrot their narrative.
Similarly, biotech giant Monsanto and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have also been caught engaging in this unethical practice together. This is not the first time Monsanto has been caught acting in this manner either.
In Canada, a group of scientists testified that the GMO giant offered them a bribe of $1-2 million, and in Indonesia they were fined for engaging in bribery of a government official as well.
Another biotech giant, Syngenta, hired scientists to discredit professor Tyrone Hayes, who conducted research that found out their herbicide Atrazine posed health risks to the population. Merck was taken to court by two scientists that claimed the Big Pharma giant manipulated tests concerning their mumps vaccine’s efficacy.
Coca Cola was also caught paying scientists (to the tune of $132.8 million) to downplay the severity of consuming their sugary drinks, and other unhealthy products. In fact, corporations do this all the time.
A perfect example, is a study conducted by the University of Colorado that claimed that diet soda was better at promoting healthy weight loss than water. Unsurprisingly, this study was funded by the soda industry.
Another study claimed that children who ate candy weigh less than children who don’t, and are less likely to be obese. This, unsurprisingly again, was funded by a trade association representing candy giants Butterfingers, Hershey and Skittles.
Today, a number of questionable practices in the name of science continue. Sadly, the manipulation (or incompetence) of science is something that most likely will never be truly eliminated from society because it is rooted in human fallibility and corruption.
This is not to say that the concept of science does not serve an important purpose, because it certainly does; I personally use scientific methods and principles daily in my life, and even relied on scientific research to highlight corruption within the scientific community in this blog.
But this was written specifically to remind us all that “science” can be used to deceive us — has been used to deceive us — and should always be questioned as a result.
Scientists obviously need money to conduct their research, and corporations who place material profit above human life have plenty of it. The hand that gives usually controls the hand that takes.
Until we design a system that promotes unadulterated education, more than it does propaganda and ignorance; and rewards integrity more than the willingness to do anything for “money,” this type of pathetic human behavior will persist for obvious reasons.
Like a good wine, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s famous speech delivered in Munich 10 years ago regarding global security has been rewarded with time. A decade on, the many facets contained in that address have only become all the more enhanced and tangible.
Speaking to a senior international audience at the annual Munich Security Conference, on February 10, 2007, the Russian leader opened by saying he was going to speak about world relations forthrightly and not in “empty diplomatic terms”. In what followed, Putin did not disappoint. With candor and incisiveness, he completely leveled the arrogance of American unilateral power.
He condemned the “aspirations of world supremacy” as a danger to global security. “We are seeing a greater and greater disdain for the basic principles of international law,” adding at a later point: “One state and, of course, first and foremost the United States, has overstepped its national borders in every way.”
But, moreover, Putin presciently predicted that the American arrogance of unipolar dominance would in the end lead to the demise of the power from seeking such supremacy.
A unipolar world, he said, is “a world in which there is one master, one sovereign. And at the end of the day this is pernicious not only for all those within this system, but also for the sovereign itself because it destroys itself from within.”
Ten years on from that call, few can doubt that the global standing of the United States has indeed spectacularly fallen – just as Putin had forewarned back in 2007. The most recent example of demise was the sordid business earlier this month of arm-twisting and bullying by the US at the United Nations over the tabled resolutions repudiating Washington’s ill-considered declaration of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
Other examples of fallen American leadership can be seen in regard to President Trump’s reckless threats of war – instead of diplomacy – with North Korea over its nuclear weapons program. Or Trump’s irrational and unfounded belligerence towards Iran. The American propensity for using military force regardless of diplomacy and international law leaves most nations feeling a shudder of contempt and trepidation.
Another example of fallen American leadership is seen in the boorish way the Trump administration has unilaterally rejected the 2015 international Paris Accord to combat deleterious climate change. Trump views it as a conspiracy to undermine the American economy, as he alluded to in his recent National Security Strategy. How can such a self-declared global leader be taken seriously, much less, with respect?
Putin’s warning that the unipolar-seeking US would “destroy itself” could not be more apt.
Because in order to seek such supremacy, such a power, by necessity of its ambition, must reject the rule of law and the principle of democracy as being nothing other than bothersome constraints on its hegemony.
President Trump likes to talk at times about the “peaceful coexistence of sovereign nation states”. But whatever virtue he may be intending or paying lip service to, it is totally negated by American ambitions of unipolar dominance – ambitions that have been harbored in successive administrations in Washington since the end of the Cold War more than 25 years ago.
To this view of the world, Putin said: “I consider that the unipolar model is not only unacceptable but also impossible in today’s world.”
The impossibility, and impermissibility, stems from the inevitable tendency of unilateral conduct, which rejects the principle of all being equal under the law. The would-be unipolar hegemon, by definition, sees itself as above the law. Such a self-anointed view of oneself leads to tyranny and abuse of power.
Since the end of the Cold War balance of power between the US and the former Soviet Union, the world has been plunged into a state of permanent wars and conflicts, due to the proclivity of the United States to act alone and on the basis that its “might is right”.
Ten years ago in Munich, Putin noted: “Unilateral and frequently illegitimate actions have not resolved any problems. Moreover, they have caused new human tragedies and created new centers of tension. Judge for yourselves: wars as well as local and regional conflicts have not diminished… even more people are dying than before. Significantly more, significantly more!”
The unipolar position sought by the US leads ineluctably to a world of lawlessness, chaos, insecurity, fear, violence, and, in a fiendish feedback loop, reinforces the further deterioration in all such facets.
“Today we are witnessing an almost un-contained hyper use of force – military force – in international relations, force that is plunging the world into an abyss of permanent conflicts,” said Putin in Munich.
Recall that the Russian leader was speaking at the height of the US, British and NATO wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Those wars constitute perhaps the two biggest war crimes over the past quarter of a century. The violations went unpunished, as befitting the arrogance of unipolar power, and because of that impunity, the lawlessness and abuse of national sovereign rights have only become more exacerbated, as Putin forewarned.
Diplomacy, international law, dialogue and consensus have been all but discarded. Look how the US and its NATO allies demolished Libya in 2011, and how they ransacked Syria covertly through a seven-year proxy dirty war; a war that was only stopped by Russia and Iran’s principled military intervention at the end of 2015. Look how the US and its NATO allies have destabilized Ukraine, yet blame Russia, even as Washington readies in the New Year to supply lethal weapons to the regime in Kiev it installed by a violent coup in February 2014.
The provocative expansion of NATO across Europe with its weapons pointed on Russia’s border was also an outcome that Putin warned against in 2007, admonishing that it would lead to more insecurity and tensions in Europe, not less.
Putin was right to talk straight truth to power in that 2007 speech, rather than using “empty diplomatic terms”, as he put it.
We cannot hope to rectify problems unless we address those problems accurately.
In doing so, Putin deserves immense praise for exposing the corruption of absolute power in world relations.
But there can be little doubt that his courageous speech in Munich in 2007 earned him the hatred of Washington’s imperial planners. Putin was in effect giving notice that Russia was shaking off the vassal status that his predecessor Boris Yeltsin had accepted in the early post-Cold War years.
“Russia is a country with a history that spans more than a thousand years and has practically always used the privilege to carry out an independent foreign policy. We are not going to change this tradition today,” said a defiant Putin.
It was this defiant independence and Putin’s searing analysis of how so much of global insecurity is the direct result of American imperialist arrogance that has since made the Russian leader the target for so much hostility from Washington over the past 10 years.
When you step back, it is amazing to observe the campaign of relentless Russophobia, vilification and slander directed at President Putin by Washington and the mass media under its control. The precedent for this demonization can be found in the Munich speech delivered by Putin a decade ago.
But let’s recap on the point he made about unipolar obsession being self-destructive.
The American penchant for lawlessness and violation of democratic principles does not just stop with its intrigues of regime change and subversions abroad. Those very noxious habits of diseased US statecraft are now eating into the body politics of the US itself.
Looking at the necrotic state of US politics and society – the venal, political infighting and corruption, the lack of respect for its own laws, and the lack of respect for its people’s sovereignty and office of the president – there can be little doubt that the once ambitious superpower is dying a slow death from diseased practices that have turned inward.
Putin saw it coming 10 years ago. And in a classic futile case, they have tried to shoot the messenger ever since.
America’s relations with nations around the world are collapsing. Donald Trump’s frequent xenophobic and racist outbursts, unprecedented in modern history, have resulted in foreign ministries around the world calling in senior U.S. diplomats for explanations about Trump’s comments. Trump’s actions have resulted in more damaging consequences for overall global stability.
After Trump, during a White House meeting with a congressional delegation, referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and 55 African countries as “shitholes,” the U.S. ambassador to Panama John Feeley figured the time had come to announce his resignation. Undoubtedly, Feeley was aware that even the well-heeled owners of condominiums in the Trump Ocean Club Panama hotel-condo complex had had enough of Trump when they decided to remove the Trump name from what is now known only as the Ocean Club Panama Owners Association. The move was a sign of worsening U.S.-Panamanian relations. What happened in Panama illustrates that it is not merely U.S. foreign policy that is being adversely affected by Trump, but also U.S. economic interests.
The United States is vying with China and France for control of Africa’s natural resources. Trump’s actions have placed into jeopardy ongoing U.S. oil, construction, and rare-earth mineral extraction business opportunities in Africa.
Condemnations of Trump’s “shit hole” remarks were swift. The African Union demanded Trump apologize to not only Africans, but all people of African descent in the world for comments over which the union expressed its “infuriation, disappointment and outrage.” South Africa’s Foreign Ministry called in the U.S. Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires in Pretoria to deliver a diplomatic protest note.
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) condemned Trump’s remarks as “repulsive.” U.S. diplomats in Haiti, Ghana, Senegal, and Botswana were also called on the carpet by foreign ministry officials. Senegal’s president Macky Sall said, “I am shocked by the words of President Trump on Haiti and Africa,” adding, “I reject them and condemn vigorously. Africa and the black race deserve the respect and consideration of all.” For some African countries, Trump’s insult was the second slap they received. Earlier, Trump placed Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Chad on a U.S. visa ban list, although Sudan was later removed from the list.
The Burkina Faso newspaper L’Observateur Paalga ran perhaps the most embarrassing headline for Americans, particularly U.S. military personnel stationed in the West African nation: “Warm kisses from the shithole countries,” adding that Trump is a “cursed clown” and a “president of shit.”
Trump’s abrupt severance of $2 billion in U.S. security assistance to Pakistan has all-but-doomed Indian-Pakistani diplomatic talks over the issue of Kashmir, a region contested between the two regional nuclear powers. In a tweet having severe repercussions on the Indian sub-continent and all of south Asia, Trump accused Pakistan of “lies and deceit” over its actions in neighboring Afghanistan.
Not to be outdone by Trump, American neoconservative ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, whose Sikh parents hail from India, declared that Pakistan had played “a double game for years.” She also announced the immediate cancellation of $255 million in U.S. assistance to Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry called in David Hale, the U.S. ambassador in Islamabad, for an explanation of Trump’s statement, including Trump’s reference to U.S. assistance to Pakistan over a 15-year period amounting to $33 billion.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif responded to Trump in his own tweet: “Pres Trump quoted figure of $33 billion given to PAK over last 15 yrs, he can hire a US based Audit firm on our expense to verify this figure & let the world know who is lying & deceiving.”
Pakistan’s National Security Committee issued a statement following Trump’s outburst: “Recent statements and articulation by the American leadership were completely incomprehensible as they contradicted facts manifestly, struck with great insensitivity at the trust between two nations built over generations, and negated the decades of sacrifices made by the Pakistani nation.”
While the right-wing Hindu nationalist government of Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi was gleeful over Trump’s tweet about Pakistan, it was confronted with a closer Pakistani-Chinese alliance. China announced that it was building an offshore maritime port off the strategic port city of Gwadar. And in a financial blowback against the U.S. Treasury, Pakistan announced that Pakistani-Chinese trade would be based on the Chinese yuan and no longer in U.S. dollars. In addition, Pakistan was looking at several billions in investments arising from China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative, an infrastructure project encompassing the land, sea, and air routes around the globe.
Left picking up the pieces from Trump’s “Twitter fingers” was the Commander of the U.S Central Command (CENTCOM), General Joseph Votel, responsible for combined U.S.-Pakistani operations against jihadist guerrilla forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s wild Northwest Frontier Province on the Afghan border. Votel placed an emergency phone call from his Tampa headquarters to Pakistani army chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa. The essence of that call was that Bajwa and the Pakistani military should just ignore Trump and understand that the status quo ante — before Trump became president — still applied to U.S.-Pakistani security links.
As Trump’s outbursts on Twitter and in meetings continued, U.S. diplomats and military commanders were forced to repeat what Hale and Votel faced with Pakistan. Talks between North and South Korea aimed at reducing tensions on the Korean peninsula were hampered by Trump’s continuing references to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as “little rocket man.” In a bizarre statement to The Wall Street Journal, Trump said, “I probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un. Trump later denied he made the statement, accusing the newspaper of publishing “fake news,” but the Journal made the transcript and audio tape publicly available, and they proved that Trump was lying.
After the Trump administration backed a second term for Honduran right-wing dictator-president Juan Orlando Hernandez, who won re-election as the result of massive fraud over his left-center opponent, Salvador Nasralla, the Honduran opposition announced a boycott of U.S. fast-food restaurants in the country, including Wendy’s, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald’s, Denny’s and Pizza Hut. It appears that going down the toilet with the Trump brand globally are other U.S. brands. Trump’s repeated xenophobic comments about Mexico and Mexicans has resulted in a Mexican boycott of McDonald’s, Walmart, and Coca-Cola. The governor of the Mexican state of Campeche announced that the state government would no longer purchase vehicles from Ford. Governor Alejandro Moreno urged that similar action be taken across Mexico.
Trump canceled a planned February 2018 visit to London over his pique concerning the building of a new U.S. embassy in Vauxhall, on the south bank of the Thames River, an area Trump believed was an “off location.” Trump was to have dedicated the new embassy, but criticized the diplomatic post’s move from Grosvenor Square and the subsequent sale of the old embassy grounds as a “bad deal” made by Barack Obama. The move was authorized not by Obama but by George W. Bush. In any case, the cancellation left British government and opposition figures both relieved and appalled over Trump’s off-putting demeanor.
From Palestine to Botswana and Haiti to Britain, Trump’s actions have made the United States a pariah and outlier. There is very little U.S. diplomats can do, but be called in by foreign ministries to be lectured on good manners, propriety, and behavior. Today, every American should feel absolute shame in their president and their country.
Could an alien virus arrive from outer space and wipe out the human race? It may sound like the plot of a B-movie, but an international group of scientists is now formally exploring the possibility for the very first time.
In a study published in the journal Astrobiology next month, the group sets out its belief that while NASA continues to focus its search for extraterrestrial life on the hunt for other alien microorganisms, space viruses remain critically under-researched. The team, led by biologist Kenneth Stedman of Portland State University, is calling for scientists to develop strategies to detect these viruses – and to see if they can spread to humans from outer space.
“More than a century has passed since the discovery of the first viruses,” Stedman said in a statement. “Entering the second century of virology, we can finally start focusing beyond our own planet.”
Viruses are infectious agents that replicate inside the living cells of other organisms. They can infect anything, from animals and plants to microorganisms like bacteria. The team behind the study believes that because more viruses exist on Earth than any other cellular organism, they should exist on other planets, too. The pursuit to find these astronomical agents has led Steadman, along with colleagues Aaron Berliner and Tomohiro Mochizuki from UC Berkeley and Tokyo Institute of Technology respectively, to create a new discipline in astrobiology known as “astrovirology.”
“With this paper, we hope to inspire integration of virus research into astrobiology and also point out pressing unanswered questions in astrovirology, particularly regarding the detection of virus biosignatures and whether viruses could be spread extraterrestrially,” Stedman said.
Speaking to Gizmodo, Stedman tried to allay fears about the future discovery of viruses in outer space. “Viruses have a bad rap. If we find viruses on other planets it is an indication of life, not something to be scared of,” he said.
